Our Fishing Practices
The fishermen, crews, and boats we work with practice “pelagic long-line” fishing.
This method just means it’s a string of single lines that can catch one fish per line. This method has proven to be more sustainable and better for the fish. With this way of fishing, we only catch what we need, it’s less stressful for the fish bringing in better quality catches, and yields better fish since we don’t have any predators trying to eat fish as the fishermen pull up the line.
